Recognized Excellence

"Study to show yourself approved by God, a workman who need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." II Timothy 2:15 (MEV)

As an institution built around the mission of preparing individuals for effective service in advancing the kingdom of God, the values of scholarship, discipleship and service are at the very core of PTS's focus.

Even in its current early stages of operation, Pacific Theological Seminary holds the unique distinction of being recognized both domestically and globally for academic and service excellence. Our faculty members, who collectively represent a group of world-class scholars, bring a depth of research, publishing and teaching excellence to our seminary programs and students. Although these richly gifted individuals could easily pursue greater personal and professional enrichment in affiliation with larger and more established institutions, they are drawn to Pacific because of their strong support and identification with its mission, and committed to providing an instructional environment that emphasized the importance of both academic excellence and personal discipleship.

To support our excellent instructional faculty and strong academic programs, PTS also maintains the large regional collection of theological literature in our Price Memorial Library. This modern library is home to over 60,000 volumes with collections both in English and several other languages. Additionally, the Price Library houses a large number of important theological journals and also provides virtual access to countless other publications and databases through extensive online networks and subscriptions. The Price Library is staffed by an uncommonly gifted group of resource professionals, led by library director, Dr. Mariel Deluca Voth. Dr. Voth, who also serves as assistant professor of Global and Contextual studies, has been recognized globally for her leadership and contributions in numerous Christian library and literature organizations. We thank God for bringing such an incredible group of Administrators, Faculty, Staff, and Students to Pacific Theological Seminary. As we continue to move forward in pursuit of the vision God has given us, we ask you to please consider partnering with us through your prayers and financial support. As the upcoming fall semester approaches, we would also ask that you please share the word about Pacific with those whom you feel could benefit through participating in our courses or degree programs.

Thank you in advance for your ongoing support of Pacific Theological Seminary.
